London Fashion Week AW12: McQ
GMD favourite, McQ, has gone gothic for autumn/winter 2012; think blood red velvet and spidery black lace. Throw a little signature McQ grunge into the equation (chains belts, ankle boots) and you’ve got a collection that is totally on-trend but is also totally wearable – a nice change for McQ, a label that tends to cater for the younger woman.
According to McQ designer, Sarah Burton, (a woman who can do no wrong) sheer lace uppers teamed with elbow length gloves are the order of the day for next season. Dresses were either a-line or prom style – a classic shape that is proving popular this LFW.
