Featured Blogger: Allie picks her Top 5 Cocktail Party Dresses!
As the new year is in full swing, parties are being planned and you need fab cocktail dresses to hire for the all year round party season. Blogger, Allie Redmond, from The Friday Girl, shares her top 5 cocktail dresses from Girl Meets Dress. –  Allie is a fashion marketing student who loves to blog in her spare time. She is currently interning with The Image Consulting Company.
1. Diane Von Furstenberg, Zarita Lace Dress, Blue
The colour of this cocktail dress was what most attracted me to it, it’s gorgeous and would look fab with a tan. Then on closer inspection, the lace is beautiful and creates a luxurious feel and I really like the zip detailing and the deep V on the back. Understated sexiness.
2. Â McQ Alexander McQueen Fine Knit Dress
I am in love with this print, the red and the black are just so striking! The shape is also one of my favourites, a good t-shirt shaped dress, whether fitted or boxy, will always be a winner in my book, they’re so flattering. The perfect cocktail party dress.
3. Stella McCartney Pleated Stretch DressÂ
Again I was attracted to this dress by the colour, as you can probably tell, I love a strong colour. The amazing thing about this cocktail dress is that I think it would suit any hair colour,  from brunette to golden blonde to the fieriest redhead. The fit also looks so classic and flattering and could be dressed up for a cocktail party or kept simple for a smarter work look.
4. CNC Malena DressÂ
When I’m not in a bright colour, I’ll be in black, grey, navy or neutrals. They’re just so versatile and this is the perfect cocktail dress to show that going for neutrals doesn’t have to mean “boring” for a night out. I love the stylish colour blocking and the shape of this dress.
Again, this dress is a gorgeous neutral black cocktail dress but is oh so sexy with the deep V. It reminds me of something that Rihanna would wear with some barely there sandals and a statement gold necklace. Brilliant for channelling your inner diva whilst sticking to the cocktail dress code.
